Siemens to supply substations with two OTMs for Scottish offshore project

 Germany, Hamburg: Siemens has received a further order for Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Ltd. (BOWL), from Scotland.

Apart from supplying the wind turbines and the offshore grid connection to the mainland, Siemens will also deliver the onshore and offshore substationsconsisting of two offshore transformer modules (OTMs).

The Beatrice offshore wind farm will be located around 14 kilometres off the Scottish coast.

The offshore wind power plant's capacity of 588 MW will be sufficient to supply more than 400,000 UK households with eco-friendly electricity.
