2017-9-11

The Colombian Siemens transformer factory and Siemens Mexico are completing a large order for 12,820 pole-mounted distribution transformers for the Mexican state-owned electricity utility.

The transformers (10, 15 kVA-1ph and 15 kVA-3ph) were ordered by Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) for a project that aims for the substantial reduction of electricity losses, the manufacturer said in a statement.

Thus far, the Siemens transformer plant in Tenjo, Colombia has delivered approximately 8,000 transformers to Mexico.

They are expected to be fully commissioned in May 2018.
