USA, Minnesota: St Peter City Council, in Minnesota, has approved the proposed upgrade of the 48-year-old infrastructure at South Front Street electrical substation.

The total project is estimated at $1.6 million and will be implemented in two phases, reports St Peter Herald.

In the second phase the 48-year-old transformer will be replaced with a new power transformer, likely to cost about $1.1 million.

The goal is to complete the first phase in spring 2017 and then move on to phase two.
