RTE awards insulation analyser solution contract

 USA, Massachusetts: To enhance the reliability of France’s power grid infrastructure, Réseau de Transport d’Electricité (RTE) has selected Doble to provide insulation analyser solution to closely track the condition of its thousands of measurement transformers.

Doble will provide selected power factor/tan-delta test sets, universal controllers, and the associated software to RTE’s grid maintenance teams across France, the manufacturer states in the press release.

RTE has decided to implement a new diagnostic method in order to optimize its knowledge about the health of its measurement transformer fleet, and opted for tan delta testing to measure insulation integrity for its measurement transformers.
