PMTT ready to ship two large power transformers

 Russia, St. Petersburg: The joint venture Power Machines - Toshiba. High-voltage transformers (PMTT) has completed production of two power transformers for the Salda substation in the Sverdlovsk region, operated by the Federal Grid Company.

The two 250 MVA power transformers of the rated voltage 220 kV have passed a set of the standard and acceptance tests and are ready for shipment.

The company will also be installing the equipment at the customer’s site.

According to the press release, the two units are the most powerful and largest transformers in terms of their size and weight released by the company.
