Ocean Pines powered up with third transformer

2015-11-24

USA, Maryland: Maryland electric utilities Ocean Pines and Choptank Electric Cooperative installed a third transformer in the community this year to serve growth in Ocean Pines.

This third transformer was brought in in February and assembled in March. It was finished in May when protective gear was installed and energized in late September. It officially began serving members in October, reports Delmarva Now.

“We’re very pleased that Choptank Electric Cooperative is taking measures to ensure that Ocean Pines members are not without power during peak times for energy usage such as summer and winter,” Cheryl Jacobs, vice president of the Ocean Pines Board said.
