New SEA transformers market report announced

 Singapore: Frost & Sullivan has announced a new report “Southeast Asia Power and Distribution Transformers Market.”

The report estimates that the market earned revenues of $1.34 billion in 2013 will reach $1.77 billion in 2018.

The revenue contribution from the distribution segment was slightly higher (50.6%) than from the power segment and this trend is expected to continue during the forecast period, reports PR Newswire.

According to the report, residential and commercial infrastructure development in large and mid-sized cities in Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines, which are expected to create high demand for power transformers, will play a huge role in stoking a compound annual growth rate of 5.6 percent from 2013 to 2018 in the Southeast Asia power and distribution transformers market.

Other countries covered by the report include Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand.
