NGCP upgrades Cagayan substation with 100 MVA transformer

 The Philippines, Manila: The National Grid Corportion of the Philippines (NGCP) has upgraded its Tuguegarao substation in order to accommodate the growing demand coming from a new airport and several local businesses in four provinces in the Northern Luzon.

The expansion project involved installation of an additional 100 MVA power transformer, increasing the substation capacity from 90 MVA to 190 MVA, reports The Manila Times.

The facility improvement will benefit customers from Cagayan, Isabela, Kalinga and Apayao provinces.
