Kansas energy company receives new mobile resilience transformers

2016-9-6

USA, North Carolina: Siemens has delivered three of its new mobile resilience transformers to Westar Energy, an energy company in Kansas.

The new technology will allow Westar to replace a large power transformer within days rather than the months it can take to transport and install an available unit.

The new transformers will allow Westar to keep power up and running for its 690,000 customers across the eastern part of the state.

Westar Energy has the mobile transformers housed in a storage facility designed to protect them and enable fast deployment.
