Blagoveshchensk plant power transformers tested

 Russia, Moscow: Power Machines - Toshiba High-Voltage Transformers LLC, a joint venture of Power Machines OJSC and Toshiba Corporation, completed the manufacture and testing of power transformers as part of the Power Machines project for the construction of the second stage of Blagoveshchensk thermal power plant in Amur Oblast.

The transformers of 160 MVA and 25 MVA have passed the acceptance tests run at the company’s testing facility and will be delivered to Blagoveshchensk construction site in April 2015, reports Energy Land.

Power Machines - Toshiba High-Voltage Transformers will supervise commissioning of the equipment and provide their service in the future.

Power Machines won the contract for building the second phase of Blagoveshchensk power plant, including manufacture and delivery all the power transformers and related equipment, in December 2013. Completion of the project is scheduled for the end of 2015.
