2016-5-27

Angola, Luanda: Cambambe Hydroelectric Dam (AHC) will be the site of Angola’s largest power substation, expected to be built upon completion of the construction of the second power plant.

According to the AHC project director, Alberto Carneiro, the substation, with power transformers and associated electrical equipment, will have three courtyards, reports All Africa.

Located on the Kwanza River approximately 180 km east of Luanda, the project will add 700 MW of generating capacity to 180 MW currently produced by the power plant.
