Ziehl-Abegg investing $31M in a new facility

2016-7-21

Germany, Künzelsau: The Künzelsau-based fan manufacturer Ziehl-Abegg is constructing a new building in the Hohenlohe Business Park in Baden-Württemberg for the manufacture of energy-efficient electric drives and fans.

Over the next two years the company will be investing a total of around €28 million ($31 million) in Hohenlohe, where it will double the production area to nearly 8,000 square metres, and relocate and expand its electronically commutated (EC) production, the manufacturer said in a statement.

The construction of new manufacturing facilities, as well as the relocation of the existing production facilities, will take place in mid-2017. This will also involve the relocation of 140 jobs from Künzelsau to the new building.
