Vietnam, Ca Mau: Authorities of the Vietnam’s southernmost province, Ca Mau, have affirmed their support of a project to construct a wind power plant in Ngoc Hien district.

The project worth over $3.2 billion will include power transformer stations and 150 cylindrical turbines with a combined capacity of 300 megawatts, among other facilities, reports Vietnam.net.

As a large-scale project in the national clean energy development programme, the project is expected to be compatible with the country’s industrialisation and modernisation objectives and efforts to adapt to climate change and rising sea levels.
